Weekly Color Scheme

I'm never a fan of Tuesdays. Why? On one hand, my husband leaves for work at 3:30a.m. and doesn't get home till around midnight, on the other hand at least it is not Monday but it is still way too far way from Friday. And on the third hand, yes I gave myself three hands, Tuesdays are housecleaning days. Well at least in my schedule they are housecleaning days.
Anyway, I chose turquoise and coral to be this week's color scheme because I want to celebrate the first official week of summer. 

I love this dining room. Perfect combination of color, yet still soft and romantic. The purple and cream accents put this dining room over the top in my book.

Maybe if I had huge calendar like this, I would actually get some work done today. Happy Tuesday!

All Summer Long

Today is the first day of summer. It's my favorite season. Why? Because of flip flops, tank tops, and outdoor barbecues. Oh, the playing in the water! Nothing is better after a long day/week at work, then taking a dip in the pool or spend the weekend at the river. Blues and Yellow always remind me of summer. Think water and sunshine, what more could you need? Enjoy these wonderful summer inspired interiors/outdoor rooms.

Shower me with love

This afternoon I have a bridal shower to go to for one of my college friends who is getting married in August. Bridal showers are a fun way to see old friends, get excited about the wedding, and meet the bride's extended family. Not to mention all the gifts for the bride! They can also be decorated fabulously to make every guest comfortable and really enjoy themselves. Enjoy these photos of great showers!

I couldn't help myself, I had to show you this kitchen with this week's color scheme. There is just the right amount of yellow and even touches of red are thrown in the mix. The red gives it that little bit of interest to this design. The checkerboard floor is awesome! Love this!

A Picture Challenge...

As I was reading Emily A. Clark's blog this morning, I saw her recent post about From The Right Bank's "What's Your Style in One Picture Challenge" and decided to find my own picture that described me. Come to find out that is a very hard task, for I like to many styles and colors. However, I did find this picture of a living room from Ideal Home and immediately knew that it described how I would want my living room to feel. Classy and Elegant.

I love the chocolate brown walls and all those details! Design is in the details I tell you! All about the details! I know this picture is really neutral but I like it that way because I can never decide on what color to use, so neutral is always the way to go for me. How about that animal print bench? Perfection!
