Holiday Mode

Ok guys, I'm back. Well kinda. My body is back but my mind is still in holiday mode. Actually my body/mind is all hyped up on hydrocodon from my tooth being pulled yesterday. I didn't think I was going to need them but I filled the prescription anyway just in case. Lucky thing I did, because pain hit me about 3 am this morning. It was pretty brutal. I finally fell asleep around 3:30 am. Dental pain is the worst, as a matter of fact my mouth is currently telling me it's time for another.

My trip to the dentist pretty much went like this:

Liz Levin Interiors

I'm loving this portfolio by Liz Levin! The colors, the furniture, just everything! Check her out for beautiful inspiration!

And to answer Stephanie's question about what book I'm reading/about to read, here it is:

I haven't started yet, but it's on Amazon's Editor Top 100 books of the year list, so I'll let you know how it goes after I finish. This was just a little birthday gift to myself, BTW happens to be today. :-)

Baby, it's cold outside

StClements Great Room traditional family room

It was the first really cold morning, I didn't want to go to work. I wanted to curl up with my new book and sit right here.

Award-winning 16th Century Town House

While browsing the website of Period Living, I came across the lovely, and by lovely I mean, my heart needs to stop fluttering in my chest while looking at this home because I just might go out and spend every dime I have to make my little duplex look exactly like this. It's cute, it's charming, AND it's girly. Plus the pretty pale pinks are just gorgeous.

"Elizabeth Lloyd-Day and her husband Carl have transformed a 16th-century timber-framed property into an inviting and comfortable home; it topped the Best Townhouse category in our Readers’ Awards 2010. (http://www.periodliving.co.uk/readers-homes/readers-homes/award-winning-townhouse)"

Is it too early?

Is it too early to start decorating my house for Christmas?

Nah, it's never to early.

Filled to the brim

Don't you just love this room? I love how it has so much stuff and yet it's still organized. The pillows are all perfectly ruffled, and everything has a place. I think my life would be less hetic if my house was just a little a neater. Hey, a girl can dream can't she?

Orange you glad it's November?

November is my favorite month. Not just because it's my birthday month, but because it's colorful and gives you glimpse of winter. November is crisp and clean. It gives you one more chance to spend a little time outside, then prepare for the winter. Plus, you must love Thanksgiving. All that wonderful food. And my birthday. We must not forget it's my birthday month.
