Sophfisticated

I found this picture on Houzz this morning and I just couldn't stop staring. Have I finally found the inspiration I'm looking for, for my living room? Who knows? But it sure is pretty.

Don't you just love the sea horse pillow? Oh, and that frog end table, I gotta get me one of those. Anyone have any ideas where?

It's a colorful December.

This month's issue of Lonny Mag is full of color! It's not just red and green, it's blue, it's pink, it's gold. It's great!

Here are some of my favorite rooms!

The best of 2010

I know I've been slacking with posts lately, but the reverb10 thing has got me swamped with my other blog. So sorry for the blog neglect, I'm gonna try to do better. House Beautiful has it's picks up for the best living rooms of 2010, and here are a few of my favorites.

Enjoy the eye candy.

Holiday Time at my house

My Tree:

I wish it was real.

My Snowmen/Santa Clause:

I like to collect snowmen figurines. These are some my favorite ones. They are here to greet vistors, for they are on the entry way table. I got the snowman on the left and the Santa at Dollar General. The snowman on the right came from Pier 1 Imports.

My Wreath:

I should have done a tutorial on how I made this beauty but I didn't think about it till it was already finished. So here is a  break down on how to make this show-stopping wreath:

1. Buy a large foam ring at a craft store.
2. Choose a color palette, I choose red, silver and gold.
3. Buy 172 ornaments in all shapes and sizes. (Plastic ones are less expensive and if one falls off you don't have to worry about glass pieces.)
4. Use a hot glue gun to glue ornaments to the foam wreath.
Tip: Use larger ornaments on the outside and inside of the ring, then fill in the middle.

See? Easy as pecan pie.

I will say however, the hardest part about making the wreath is making sure one side is not built up with more ornaments than the other. Keeping it level is a challenge.

More to come as soon as I get another pay day, and start making my holiday pillows.
Merry Christmas!
